Nike SB Team Classic Premium Shoes

Minimal in its aesthetic but enriched with Guy Mariano’s Italian heritage and quality materials, this white and galactic jade edition of the Nike SB Team Classic Premium Shoes have premium leather uppers across a super streamlined aesthetic that houses skate-ready features. Contrasting Swoosh ticks on either side of the foot have been cut from galactic jade coloured leather. Perforation has been added across the front of the toes to encourage breathability when worn daily and the white cotton lacing system is secured by a leather border. The top of the curved leather tongue has a contrasting zig zag stitch detail in a matching tone of green whilst at the back of the heel a slim stripe of leather dyed to desert ochre colourway has ‘SB’ embossed branding.

Throughout the inside a fabric lining runs throughout for comfort whilst the sockliner has custom decoration that references Mariano’s Italian-American upbringing through an illustration of ‘the evil eye and horns’ which is said to ward off bad luck and energy - a symbol the skater and his family wear to carry on tradition. Welcomed into the Skateboarding Hall of Fame in 2018, Guy Mariano has plenty of career highlights under his belt having been on the scene since the ‘80s where he developed his technical skill and fluid style before taking a hiatus in 2003 and returning four years later for Lakai footwear’s ‘Fully Flared’ directed by Spike Jonze and Ty Evans.
